Welcome to my professional portfolio! My name is Emilee DeLuccia, and I graduated from William Paterson University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. Throughout my time in this program, I have learned to enhance my knowledge in pharmacology, assessments, and leadership. It is important to me that I use all the knowledge I attained during this program, and learn to apply it to my everyday practice. I am currently employed at Shore Medical Center in Somerspoint, NJ, where I have worked for 5 years. I was a aide for 4 years, and I have been a nurse there for a year. My name is Emilee DeLuccia. I am a licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey. I graduated from William Paterson University, with a Bachelor in Science of Nursing. I graduated from Atlantic Cape Community College with my ASN and a Degree in Health Sciences.
I have been an RN on the telemetry unit for a year. Our telemetry unit is a 24 bed unit. I have learned how to assess patients closely for changes in condition. I have learned how to assess changes in EKGs.
I am ready for a change in my career path to strengthen my knowledge and assessment skills. I am always up for a challenge. I have good communication skills, and I am always willing to help my coworkers when they need it. My years as a nurses’ aide has helped me to provide a high standard of patient care, and I am not afraid to help others when needed.

There is continuous cardiac monitoring, and a requirement of 2 readings done per shift by the RN
As nurses, we need to determine any critical changes in our patients
On this unit, we perform vital signs every 4 hours
As nurses, we educate our patients on fluid restrictions, sodium restrictions, medication regimens, and test prep
Collaborating with other specialities to provide the best patient care
venipuncture, EKGs, managing heparin/cardizem/amiodarone drips

The intent of this letter is to request a letter of recommendation. I completed my ASN at Atlantic Cape Community College, and passed my NCLEX and began working at Shore Medical Center. I then completed my BSN at William Paterson University. I want to continue to grow in my profession by applying for a job in the Intensive Care Unit at Shore Medical Center. I want to take all the knowledge I learned from this program and apply it to my practice. I want to not only be a strong nurse, but I eventually want to be a strong leader too.
